Fish Farm: Check out the local family owned Fish Farms where a variety of fascinating local marine species are caught to be sold to local markets. The mazes of fish nets are seemingly endless, and you can get up close and personal to some of these fish in the sea opposed to tanks at an aquarium. Markets: Visit the bustling markets of Tikehau bursting with vibrant seafood and arts and crafts waiting to be tasted. Everything is locally sourced so grabbing a bite to eat there is an authentic bite into local culture. For a fascinating afternoon at a culture hotspot on the island, check out one of the many markets scattered across the region.


Tuherahera Bike Ride: Rent a bike and cruise your way about the small dirt road enveloping the Tuherahera village, arguably the prettiest village in the Tuamotu Atolls. Get a bit of exercise whilst enjoying the postcard-like scenery of the area with plenty of photo opportunities. The area is filled with breathtaking flora and fauna included hibiscus and bougainvillea, making for a vibrant tunnel of plants to cycle through.


Snorkeling and Diving: Go to a local info center or resort to find the best snorkeling spots and head out for an underwater adventure- and have a crack at spotting as many species as you can in one day. Checkout the breathtaking coral landscapes if you choose to dive, however the pink sands are just as pretty from the surface.
