DAY BY DAY:

Day 1:  Arrive in Tahiti at Papeete International Airport. Upon exiting the airport you will be met with a flower lei and taken to your resort in Papeete.  Spend two nights at the Intercontinental Tahitian Resort. Take this day to recover from jetlag, swim by the pool and relax. (2 nights Papeete)

Day 2:  Spend the day on an exciting tour around the island of Papeete.  Take a 4×4 to the very heart of the island. Admire the valley of Papenoo, famous for its rivers, and enjoy the incredible waterfall and tropical plant views. This natural setting is the perfect place to experience the beauty of Tahiti. After returning to your hotel, head over to Les Roulettes, the popular Tahitian food trucks where you can taste local and international cuisine.

Day 3:  Leaving Papette this morning, after breakfast, you will be met and transferred to the pier for your short ferry ride to Moorea. Nestled between two bays on the heart-shaped island of Moorea and set against a beautiful mountain backdrop which melts into a crystal-clear lagoon is the Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa.  Dine on French and Polynesian favorite foods by the lagoon at Arii Vahine Restaurant, or enjoy a relaxed lunch at beachside Rotui Grill & Bar.  The longest happy hour on the island is a EImeo Bar (4pm-7pm daily).  Tonight, perhaps dine at the unique overwater Toatea Creperie & Bar a popular hangout for evening cocktails and crepes under the stars. The experienced local driver will narrate points of interest along the way. The endless views are the perfect setting of motion pictures, and some have been filmed here. Let your imagination run wild, just maybe a dinosaur will appear! There will be stops along the way as picture taking is highly encouraged.

Day 5:  Today you’ll take a short boat ride from shore to this small island get away for a picnic on the motu (islet). Once on the motu, you can snorkel in the shallow waters watching the daily activities of the local sea life. As an idea for a 2-week vacation to Australia or New Zealand we recommend a budget of around $8,000-10,000 (including economy airfare), this would be for a 4 star and above itinerary, a little cheaper if we did more moderate accommodations.
