Designed with a family in mind this itinerary is a great mix of activities combined with beautiful scenery and fun for everyone.

 

Upon arrival into Auckland spend your first day relaxing and enjoying the city on a private tour. No visit to Auckland is complete without a harbor cruise. Check out the Hobbiton Movie Set on route to Rotorua, here you will see the geothermal activity and more cultural experiences including a traditional hangi dinner. Explore Wellington city via a city tour, visit the WETA workshop made famous by the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Moving from the city to Able Tasman National Park in the South Island, the perfect place for relaxation and adventure. Spend your time kayaking, viewing wildlife and hiking. Finishing up in Queenstown go jet boating, gold panning, take a scenic safari and spend the day at Stunning Milford Sound.

This is a great itinerary with a bit of everything!  Start your New Zealand adventure by exploring Wellington.  Check out capital city's highlights before a private tour and a visit to the interactive national Te Papa museum.  Moving from the city to the Marlborough Sounds you can relax and enjoy the serenity and beauty of this magical area.  There’s even time for a Marlborough wine tour on route to Kaikoura where you’ll enjoy whale watching and swimming with dolphins before heading off to Christchurch.  Here you’ll explore the city and immerse yourself in Lord of the Rings scenery.  Enjoy stargazing and a glacier hike in Aoraki/Mt Cook followed by a scenic flight into stunning Milford Sound for a nature cruise of the fiord.  Finish your trip with a wilderness jet safari into Mount Aspiring National Park.  That’s a lot of scenery and wildlife in one trip but there’s time to relax and enjoy the best of New Zealand.

In just 11 days you cover both the North and South Islands of New Zealand experiencing very different landscapes with the most stunning scenery around.  You start in Christchurch on the East Coast before heading over to the West Coast via the TranzAlpine Railway, one of the world’s most scenic rail journeys.  Driving down the lush West Coast to Franz Josef you have a helicopter tour of the national parks showcasing amazing views of Franz Josef and Fox Glacier glaciers and Mount Cook. Begin your Australian adventure in Sydney.  Enjoy a visit to the famous Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour and Taronga Zoo where you can get your first wildlife experience. 

Then you’re off to Adelaide and Kangaroo Island for more wildlife and stunning scenic and coastal landscapes. You get to explore Kangaroo Island on a 4WD tour and Flinders Chase National Park.  

Following your wildlife activities, you have a day of wine tasting, Adelaide Hills and a visit to Hahndorf.
