Fiji officially known as the Republic of Fiji is an island in Melanesia in the South Pacific Ocean. Fiji is an archipelago of over 330 islands but only 110 are permanently inhabited. Vita Levu and Vanua Levu are the two major islands with 87% of the population living here. The total population of Fiji is 920 938 people as at July 2017, three quarters of them live on Viti Levu's coasts, either in Suva on Viti Levu or in Nadi or other smaller urban centers. Fiji has three official languages, English, Fijian with over 200 different dialects) and Hindustani but you will find most Fijian's speak English as it's taught in schools.
