Cruising in Fiji

We are Fiji. A group of around 333 spectacularly beautiful islands endowed with more than our fair share of sparkling white sand beaches, pristine oceans, spectacular marine life and safe and accessible anchorages which in turn makes Fiji one of the greatest cruising locations in the world.

Cruising through the Mamanucas
The Mamanucas are a group of magical islands and a veritable treasure trove of resorts and day tripping encompassing a range of activities that is mind boggling. If you are the sociable type that enjoys heaps of activity and interaction with others then cruising this group and doing a bit of ‘resort hopping’ would certainly be your cup of tea.

Cruising through the Yasawas
For a more laidback and cultural experience, the Yasawas are less developed - but equally as beautiful. These islands will give you the opportunity to explore and learn about traditional Fijian culture and lifestyle with Fijian villages dotted throughout the group.  Drop anchor in a calm, pristine bay and wait for the locals to come and greet you with our famous “Bula,” and then enjoy being surrounded by village kids as they ask a million questions about you all at once. You may even be invited to visit the village, but if so please remember to follow cultural protocols.

Cruising through Kadavu
For the naturalist or environmental enthusiast, ‘Kadavu Kruising’ is a must. The fourth biggest island in the group, Kadavu is gloriously untouched and relatively undeveloped.  The island is a mixture of jutting volcanic peaks and magnificent rainforests that sweep down to the waters edge.  This gift from nature is girthed by mangrove swamps in life-giving murky waters, the nursery for a limitless variety of marine life, graduating to ocean waters in hues of blues, aqua’s and greens that defy description - water so clear that it appears not to be there.  Dive, trek, bird watch or kayak this island when you feel the urge to put your feet back on terra firma or move around in your tender and merge into the extensive small boating commuting, a result of the limited road system.

Cruising through Taveuni
For an extension of this fabulous eco-experience, cruise on to Taveuni, the Garden Island of Fiji, where everything is as green as you’ve ever seen with fabulous waterfalls in national parks, lush rainforests inundated with prolific birdlife, mountain treks, and an opportunity to see and feel land based nature creep back into your bones.
