Day 1. Arrive Ayers Rock, Evening Aussie BBQ Dinner. Transfer to your accommodation. This evening enjoy the taste of a true Aussie-style barbecue dinner near the mighty Australian icon of Uluru (Ayers Rock). Relax in the heart of the rugged Red Centre desert and savour the mouth-watering flavours of beef, kangaroo and sizzling gourmet sausages. Accompanied by crisp seasonal salads, fresh bread rolls and a complementary selection of drinks (wine, beer and soft drink), this traditional Aussie barbecue is sure to satisfy after an exciting day of touring the Red Centre. After dinner, enjoy a cup of billy tea with a delicious dessert. Relax and admire the sight of the sun sinking below the desert plain, gradually revealing a magnificent outback night sky. Enjoy a star orientation tour of the southern sky. Transfers to and from Ayers Rock Resort are included. Pick up is also available from Uluru's Sunset Strip if joining from a Sunset Tour. (D)

Day 2. Uluru Sunrise & Afternoon Kata Tjuta Valley ot the Winds Walk.
Travel to the sunrise viewing area at the eastern end of Uluru and watch the first sunlight of the day creep across the desert plains. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits as the morning sun slowly changes the colour of Uluru. In summer, watching sunrise at Uluru in the cool morning air is the perfect start to the day. In winter months, we recommend a jacket as the desert air can be cold. Late afternoon we travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) where the driver/guide will explain the geological history of these giant domes and then escort passengers on a 2-3 hour walk in the valley between the massive red conglomerate rock. The walking path is rocky and requires a good level of fitness. Marvel at the unique flora and fauna that has survived in this harsh environment. Once the Valley of the Winds Lookout is reached, take some time to gaze out over the central valley of Kata Tjuta. Then take in a magnificent outback sunset at Kata Tjuta while enjoying a glass of sparkling wine. Return to Ayers Rock Resort approximately 40 minutes after sunset. (B)

Continue east to Erldunda before turning north on to the famous Stuart Highway and to the town at the very heart of the Red Centre, Alice Springs. As you pass through the striking Outback landscapes, your trained Driver/Guide will provide an informative commentary. Hear of the natural and geological history of the region, and of the unique Australian desert flora and fauna. Pass through the rugged but beautiful MacDonnell Ranges, riddled with deep gorges and chasms. Arrive in Alice Springs at 6:30pm. (B)
