Auckland City Stay


Day 1. Arrive Auckland. Haere Mai – you will be met and transferred to your hotel as chosen below. The rest of your day is free.

Day 2. Half Day Discover Auckland. See first hand why Auckland is known as the City of Sails as you enjoy a trip over the Harbour Bridge. Visit the famous Auckland landmark of Mount Eden, a dormant volcano whose summit offers excellent panoramic views of the city and harbours. From this fantastic vantage point you will see evidence of Auckland's volcanic history, the most significant being the youngest volcano of Rangitoto Island, at the entrance to the Waitemata harbour. The sightseeing tour also takes in the Auckland Domain, the city's oldest park which is situated on a 62,000 year old volcano. In addition to these natural features the city sights tour takes in the trendy shopping area of Parnell Village, with its historical buildings that have been transformed into boutiques, antique, craft and specialty shops. Your tour will then take you along the scenic waterfront route of Tamaki Drive before returning to Downtown. (B)

Day 3. Pride of Auckland Lunch Cruise.  Tour through Aucklands Viaduct Harbour including past Westhaven Marina, Chelsea Sugar works, Navel Base and the city's waterfront. Complimentary passes the the NZ National Maritime Museum. Wet weather gear if needed will be provided. (B, L)

Day 4.  Waiheke Island Explorer Tour.  Be introduced to Waiheke on the Fullers Explorer Tour a picturesque 35 minute boat trip followed by 1.5 hour scenic highlight tour of Waihekes' stunning locations. Cruise to Waiheke through the glorious Hauraki Gulf, on arrival you will be met by an experienced guide who will give you a taste of the views, culture and history that make up the diverse Island of Waiheke.  On conclusion of the tour, take advantage of the complimentary additional all day bus pass allowing you to either return to a destination on the tour or discover the island further on the Waiheke Island scheduled bus services. (B)

Day 5.  Auckland to your next stop. At leisure before being transferred to airport for your onward arrangements. Stay longer if you want. (B)
